About Us
We're Rob and Leighanne Thompson. We've been married for fifteen years and have seven children- four sons and three daughters- together. Our family lives in an old farmhouse on a small hobby farm in rural West Tennessee.
We love creating beautiful, unique jewelry.
Rob is the jeweler in the family- and he is entirely self taught. His background as a metal worker and machinist coupled with his love of woodcraft have allowed him to marry two unrelated skills- metalworking and woodworking- to create his unique style. Also a former welder, he has drawn on his experience in that field to become a talented, self-taught silversmith and goldsmith as well. Because of his background, Rob approaches his work from an almost industrial viewpoint and "constructs" every piece he makes.
Leighanne is the main designer of new pieces, the website builder, cafeteria worker, office manager, shop foreman, cleaning lady, head nurse, accountant, advertising executive, public relations person, and sales rep, all rolled into one. And when she's not doing those jobs, she's helping Rob out in the studio (our "studio"is an old, renovated smokehouse on our property- click here to take a tour.)
We encourage our children to experiment and try new things and have several budding artists. Mitchell (13) is an aspiring woodworker, and Rachel (11) paints and makes jewelry from found objects. Daniel (10) and Ben (8) are computer whizzes and can draw anything with the paint program on their computer. Joanna (7) and Hannah (6) make tons of pictures and bouquets for Mom, and Levi (4) just makes messes.
Our family homeschools, raises registered Alpine and Nigerian dwarf dairy goats, and we like to have a good time together. We love to race R/C cars and have paintball wars. We involve our children in every aspect of our business and they enjoy helping out and being an important part of what we do.
